WT: 64-70 F, northern wind <= 5 mph, lake level was very low; 5-6 ft lower than full pool, water was stained, weeds are dying: cabbage are dead, Millfoil Ok,
Fished flats on north and middle section of the lake, bite was real good especially early in the morning and late at night, two of us probably caught 40+ fish, but only 5 legal size(literally 16"), no wall hanger, that is very discouraging, but fish fought good, we had fun. fished 10-23 FOW, best bite is 14-16 FOW, used plugs # 5, 7, 9 size, blue is best, trolled around 1.8 mph, also we found that spinner with BB still working very well, fire tiger all the way. I gutted fish, bait fish was about 2" long, not sure what kind. HOT day up in 90s.
what puzzled me is that we did not a see or catch a single perch! where did they go? If you know, you probably will catch the bigger Walleye. Anyone wants to chime in?
