Fished Cda lake today with a friend and had a great day despite the wind and rain. We got rained on off and on for most of the day. Looks like the weatherman was right for a change. LOL
I rated this day a 5 due to the quality of fish caught. We caught a total of 6 fish all day. One was a dink and the other 5 were all over 30". The top 2 fish were 33" and 10lb 7oz, and 38 1/2" and weighing in at 15lbs 13ozs. One of the others was 33" as well but we didn't get a weight on it. All fish were in great shape and were released in very healthy condition.
I will take a day like this any time but it will be even more fun when the smaller fish feeding frenzy joins in and we can get good numbers as well as the bigger fish.
Water temps were right at 60 degrees all day. Fish were in 5 to 10 feet of water near or in weed beds. Fish were caught on soft plastics, crank baits and spinnerbaits.
