Love this lake! Had a friend who fishes small mouth tournaments take me out on his boat. (I usually fish from my kayak setup) I am learning a lot and hooked up on a good 3 and a 1/2 or so pound smallie. He said it was probably 4 pounds but i'm just going under to avoid all the people thinking that they can weigh it from the picture. None the less it was a SOLID fish and it fought hard! caught him on a 1/2oz football head jig on a rock point over by the little island in a bout 25 feet or so casting out away from the island basically dragging it shallower and shallower. i had a green craw trailer on it and a brown and watermelon red rubber skirt. this seems to work like a charm if you can find good rock to cover with it. This lake has a lot of good rock points and flats that will hold fish.
