Arrived at the banks near 65th around 8:30 and first cast in had one on before I was able to get my second rod ready. I was using Flo orange PE on a 4 foot leader. Got it on the stringer and recast back out. Turn my back to get the second rod ready and out of the corner of my eye I see my rod double over and headed for the drink. Got it just in time and the fight was on, lots of head shakes and acrobatics but finally was able to land a nice 14incher. It continued like this for a while, even had doubles a couple of times. Action slowed a bit after an hour but picked back up after another half hour. Would have gotten my limit but had to pick up the wife so left around 11:30. Still took home 8 ( 2 bows and 6 steelhead plants ). Averaged around 12" to 13" each. Weather was a nice sunny and dry day. Enjoy while we still can. PTL

Awesome. Still need to try this lake.I am worried about shore space though. I cannot abide feeling crowed up and not having an inch of space. I was at Tye today and it was a bit slower than last time I went but still managed to get my limit. Most people did not .

Heatherlyfish, the whole lake is accessible, parking can be a chore the later you go, but if you are willing to walk a couple blocks, you should be fine. Also, I like to also fish on the 65th st dock due to the proximity of the bathroom being 50' away, other places is a longer walk, and some you will need to pack your stuff just to go depending on who is on the dock, or not on the dock,..check it out!!
