Another nice (but cold) sunny day fishing with my daughters @ Green Lake. Again hit the shore line just by the 65th street dock. A little slower today, not as much action but still managed to catch a nice trout.
Got there around 9:30/10am and left right around noon. Most of the action was within the first hour, so between 10-11am.
I tried a few different artificial baits today, only thing that seemed to get bites was the orange colored Powerbait eggs. As always I coated them with some Mike's Shrimp Oil.
I tried the brown trout nuggets, the pink eggs, and even some chartreuse colored marshmallows. Never a bite on those any of the other ones but the orange eggs.
All in all got 5 major bites, 2 fish hooked and fighting, lost one right by the shore, and managed to catch the other one.
Lots more of those recently stocked trout in there I am sure. Best of luck.
Tight Lines!
