Got to the lake @ 0645, what a treacherous drive, gusting winds & a downpour, hydroplaning on I-5, but yet I was determined!! Got to "The Dock" and to my surprise, they were 2 other "crazy" fishermen, but we were all prepared for the adverse conditions, with headlamp mounted set my poles and casted, usual setup, 3'-4' leaders, powereggs (green, pink & white) to start, no powerbait due to very wet conditions!! First fish came @ around 0730, 2 more to follow by 0800, all between 12"-14", all light nibblers, so subtle, lost about 50% today. Started using powerbait when it finally cleared up, around 1030, also tried some lures to no avail, ended up with 7. Large group of about 40 cormorants cruising around, frustrating when they are around where your bait is,..left @ 1130,....
