Actually Lake Inez or Vance creek pond #2. What a way to start the day. Took my sons(18 and 20) for a full day tour. Lake, river and razor clams. The lake was great, light rain when we got there about 830am, temp was around 50. We each had a fish landedd within 10 minutes. Something I have never seen before, bobber just hits the water and settles and this fish jumps right on the bobber. Of course he came back and jumped on the hook too. We ended up with 15 total ranging from 10-14 inches. Wwe had probably 4-5 more that got off before we could land them. And I cannot count how many sat under there and played with the bobbers and stole nightcrawlers. I think a few of them were magicians. A couple were alot darker than most of the planters I have been seeing and the rainbow stripe really stood out. My pic was after we got home tonight in the dark so it is hard to tell.
Fished bobbers 3-4 ft leaders, nightcrawlers with orange power eggs.
Headed to the Humptulip before noon. Something new to all 3 of us, no need for a report on it. At this point we probably wouldnt have know if we had a bite or not. Water was pretty clear and the gravel bars were above water.
Then we were off to Mocrocks for the razors. All 3 had our limit in about an hour, only the last 15 or so were dark enough to use a light. Majority of the clams were larger than we got down at grayland last month.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
