Looking at the weather forecast I noticed today was practically going to be wind free so I decided to dust off the toon and head out to my friends house on the south end of Mercer Island and launch. As expected the water was like glass. Lots of fishing jumping on the surface so I throw on my kokabow tackle and start flatlining with no weight. Shortly after I hooked into a small 8 inch kokanee which unbuttoned itself. The next hour was catch and releasing about 5 more kokes the same size. I then noticed the lack of action so I set the rigger at 10 ft and thats where I catch my two keepers at 10-12 inches. I varied between speeds of 1.0-1.8 mph. Kokabow lure and Shatsta tackle hoochie in hit pink tipped with pink maggots. Looks like spring may come early for us!

Nice fish, sounds like fun. I'm planning on taking my boat out there this weekend to try for cutthroat or some Kokanee. Is never the best area to go

What brand/size of dodger is that in your second pic? Do you downsize your gear when targeting kokanee vs. cutthroat or is everything pretty much the same size for both species? Thanks for your help.
