Fishing yesterday was not too bad. It seems like conditions are improving in general (catching more fish regularly), but still not on fire.

Weather Conditions:
The weather was changing frequently throughout the afternoon; sometimes I was in a T-shirt in the sunshine feeling quite warm, other times I was in two jackets, a fleece and sweats while it was 15mph gusts and light rain. Water temp was down a couple of degrees from this past weekend. Barometer was increasing.

Fishing Narrative:
I hit the lake at approximately 1:30 and began by fishing the east run/weather buoy for an hour. Picked up a cutbow (14") at approximately 18' deep in about 95' of water 300 yds SE of the buoy. Although a friend of mine had been fishing since about 10:30 and had picked up 4 or 5 in that area, I wanted to try the North end runs (I had major success there the friday before).

Picked up my lines and headed to green roof. Almost immediately picked up back to back fish. The first one was about 40' deep and then the second one came while fishing at about 22' deep. Turned the corner and made a different run of mine and got another cutbow about 10 minutes later.

The far north end was not productive for me after about 1.5 hours of fishing, so I decided to head back down to the south end again. The winds really started picking up (15mph gusts).

My last hookup of the day came north of the weather buoy. Had a pretty nice hit and about halfway in the line slacked in the waves and the fish spit the hook.

Final Thoughts:
As I say, wasn't a bad day overall, fishing seems to be trending the right way. I wound up CRing 4 (all average/small at about 13-14") and my buddy CRd 7. He noted that almost all of the fish he caught were before I was on the lake that afternoon.

Hookup Times:
1:40
2:35
2:40
3:07
4:45

Tight lines, friends. Happy fishing

Nice, thanks for the report. Do you not take pictures? Not that I dont believe you, I just like to see fishermens catch. I never seen a cutbow before. Once again huge thanks for the report and great detail.

No problem at all. I like to see pictures too. I actually tried to upload two pictures but when the post came through, they were not included for reasons unknown. If you go to my "photos" I uploaded a few to an album called "Lake Sammamish". The fish in those pictures are from Friday. I will try and grab some more detailed shots for you in future posts. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.
