With all the time I have been spending in Chelan, I have been neglecting my favorite close to home Kokanee Lake. I arrived at the lake at around 7 and dropped gear. Both rods down and quickly into a double. By 8:30 I had 9 fish in the boat and was joined by an old friend. We fished until 11 and ended up with 13 11-12" Kokanee in the boat and probably 10 or so that didnt want to come to the boat.
Pink and green wedding rings were the ticket. Fished behind dodgers 3-10' down. I did mark some big school sitting at 25-35' deep but only got one fish to play at those depths. Which turned out to be a 14.75" Lake Stevens slab.
I think two more weeks and the big fish will be ready to play and Stevens will be on fire! Lots of fish marked and tons of jumpers. I'm excited for this season! I have open dates in May so lets go fishing! $200 for the boat. Max 4 adults
