I was only able to get out from about 1:30pm - 3:30pm. I saw several boats working the shallower area just exiting the cove by the boat launch. Didn't see any nets going out though. I started in the shallows too but quickly moved to deeper water. I was fishing a line from Pennant Point to the aerator. I could see several places where the fish were jumping. I had one nice one but it came off right as I was about to net it. Trying to fish solo and not an expert on Kokanee. Oh well, so I kept trolling to line. Got a second hit but through the hook quickly. It is definatly a fishery I would like to do more often. I tried green and purple. Purple was the color I got both hits on. And only fishing a few feet down.

I took my friend out yesterday from 1-5:30 we had over 10 on the line and brought home 4 = ) I was the little red boat shallow trolling the east shore. My friend was new to this type of fishing so lost his fair share getting them in lol. Pinks were the ticket once again!

The two times I have fished the lake for Kokanee, I have used a pink / purple wedding ring and seems to work good. Also the water temp was between 55 - 56 degrees.
