Eloika can be a fickle mistress... Sometimes she just doesn't give up the bigger ones. But stick with it & it will pay off. I've always done well this time of year on 3/8 ounce blue & black jigs with craw trailers. Also black spinnerbaits, always have both rigged that way you can flip & pitch to pockets if cover & throw the spinnerbait in the more open areas while trolling between spots. I'm gonna give it a try Tuesday & hopefully will have a couple nice ones to show for it. P.S. Try to find a black spinnerbait that has silver & or gold blades ( i like a tandem silver willow/gold Colorado) & not the usual single black colorado most black baits come with. Those are really more night baits made for shadow & thump. Get one with silver/gold & the bites go way up in my experience.
