Spent the night up at Mason Lake. Went to Cady in the early AM on Saturday. Weather was questionable, but after a couple of weekends in eastern Washington, piece of cake. Water temp is about 46. I started with a grey zonker, #6, on full sink. Of course had one on right away from the launch then another hit. Those LDR's are nice, don't have to waste my time playing fish and removing hooks. Besides my hands don't get as cold and it keeps the fish slime and scales of the pontoon.
Also used a green/black woolley bugger, no luck. Went back to grey zonker. Hit a couple of other fish, biggest about 18". Then started casting into the shore, still full sink/zonker. Had a couple of hook ups, couple of hits, landed one. In general, the shore drops off rather quickly. I was casting close to the brush with a medium retrieve. You see the zonker and the fish hit it, always fun. There were a few other people out and they did about as well as I did.

Probably my last trip of the year since we are heading out for Costa Rica to spend the Christmas holidays. No family down there, just a vacation to make up for my time away fishing this year.
