5/8/2015 6:04:00 PMI read this report and I decided to give it a try, I just started bass fishing and didn't have much luck anywhere. I don't have much other than plastic worms and craws. Some cheap spinnerbaits, and a crankbait. I went out at about 11 this morning and got my first bass ever! I used everything without luck then finally got about a 10 incher on a shad rap. I was just wondering, how did you fish the senkos, maybe I could fish my worms the same way, I Texas rigged them and bounced of the bottom, and the spinner I just through put and retrieved l, please help and give me tips so I can get the bigger ones like you, thanks!!!

5/8/2015 6:58:00 PMOne more thing, where were you casting? Almost every time I casted I had weeds on my bait, I feel like that is part of the reason why I only got one small one, you don't have to answer this one though, I just want to get a better chance at getting atleast a good 2 pounder.

5/8/2015 7:02:00 PMI Texas rigged my senkos as well,for some reason I alway get lucky with the6 inch watermelon senkos,I caught biggest bass between the submerged trees by the shore to the log that's out about 30 feet,they like to be around that log,or try casting at the edge of the lily pads to the right.hope you get some big ones,they are all in there:)

5/9/2015 2:59:00 AMAlexander, thanks for the report. I have to question your guess at weight on fish however. It seems to me the bass you took pictures of and posted on here are about 10 to 13 inch bass and more in the 3/4 to 1lb range. I hope you can post the larger fish next time. There is no way the bass you are holding in either of the pictures posted come close to a 4 or 5lb bass. A 5 lb bass goes roughly 21 inches long and better than 12 inch girth. If you've seen or caught 9 lbers they would be 26-29" fish and I have a feeling you would want to take a picture of it. Not saying it's impossible, but improbable you would catch that large of a bass in that little pond. If I had a dime for every person who called a 16 inch bass 5lbs I'd by a new Skeeter bass boat.

5/9/2015 9:47:00 AMHey steelhead sorry for the confusion,yes the bass in the first picture is about 13 inches and the bigger one is 17 inches(sorry I do not have a scale)haha.however I do have a picture of the 5/6 pounder(I think,I know it was exactly 22 inches long) it's on my secret lakes report that I posted last week. multiple people have caught bass in this lake saying they were around 9 pounds.honestly I didn't know how much the bass weighed but I figured 22 inches and being really fat could definitely be 5/6 pounds if not more.ill pick up a scale since the scale never lies:)you can give this lake a try sometime,I promise you'll catch some good size bass,and if you get the one I caught you can weigh it for me,haha

5/10/2015 9:52:00 AMI did hit up Shadow with a friend, Sat. AM. We covered the whole thing via float tubes. Saw plenty of signs of fish, and a couple rather large ones. Unfortunatley i only had a small one that came unbuttoned. This is a very bassy looking habitat.

5/10/2015 10:25:00 AMYes I went out Saturday as well but I arrived about 4:30-6 and caught few small ones and that was it. Don't know if the weather had something to do with it or they can possibly be spawning,all the bigger ones caught prior were all pre-spawn.There were 5 others fishing there and only a few small ones pulled out before I left.
