I have to confess that I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. I set the alarm to continuously hit snooze. The end results for today was that I didn't get to the launch until about 6am and fishing 6:30 about the same location as Saturday but today I was alone, south side of the lake in 49 feet of water.
Tossed out the chum and got my rods ready for action. My first kokanee was in the boat at 6:50am. They were between 30-40 feet deep. As time passed by they moved up to 20-30 foot deep. Totally opposite of what you are taught about kokanee, that they move down as the sun comes up.
I got a limit and I finished my morning by filming a kokanee under water.
Nice seeing you on the water David Z. Thank you Ron for showing me how to do this type of fishing.
When I got to the lake there was not breeze, with lots of cottonwood seeds lying on top of the water. When I was leaving there was a breeze. Water temp was 62 degrees and it was partly cloudy with the temperature supposed to be in the mid 70’s.
