The pontoon has a down rigger mounted between my knees so that the rod is right there in front of me. It's a hoot. The trolling rig is a "Dee's Micro Flasher" with a Wedding Ring 3 " behind it, and Gulp maggots on each hook. That company is in the process of going out of business, but e-mail still works for contacting them. They're awesome because I can troll "0 mph" with them, and they still rotate.

5/24/2015 7:49:00 PMThat is one short leader on the watermelon dodger , and it looks like a Shasta product a Kokanee fly maybe , just wondering if you've ever tryed adjusting the dodger at the tail end more bend to get a better belly action , more swing for more of a wiggle like action ,maybe
15" blade end to nose of the lure . I've done this several times and improved strike to catch ratio a bunch , just a thought

Thanks for this. I have done that bend on bigger stuff for actual sockeye, but I haven't for the little guys. That's a great thought, and I'll try it on the next trip. I appreciate your input. Enjoy the water.
