This was a really nice morning on Meridian, with a line in the water by 5:30. It took a little while to mark anything at all, but light hits at 24' and 27' came every few minutes. I lost three at the pontoon before netting #5 at 7:00 in the morning. There were no other boats at all until a really nice looking rig with two gentlemen in it trolled out as I was rowing to shore. The fish are small and hard to contain in close quarters, but I'm not complaining when you can get out and enjoy the "everything". Surface temps were 65 ish, and I never saw the huge schools of two years ago.

It has been a long time since fishing or reporting, but I appreciate everyone's input during that time. It has been fun to read these reports.

Thanks,

Cielo

Were you fishing with downriggers or just long lining? Sounds like a good day. Kokanee...so tasty.

I don't reconise the flashers below the swing blade. Very interesting . What are they??

Hi guys...
The pontoon has a down rigger mounted between my knees so that the rod is right there in front of me. It's a hoot. The trolling rig is a "Dee's Micro Flasher" with a Wedding Ring 3 " behind it, and Gulp maggots on each hook. That company is in the process of going out of business, but e-mail still works for contacting them. They're awesome because I can troll "0 mph" with them, and they still rotate.
Take care...

That is one short leader on the watermelon dodger , and it looks like a Shasta product a Kokanee fly maybe , just wondering if you've ever tryed adjusting the dodger at the tail end more bend to get a better belly action , more swing for more of a wiggle like action ,maybe
15" blade end to nose of the lure . I've done this several times and improved strike to catch ratio a bunch , just a thought
anyway very nice catch plump little silver bullets to say the least . keep up the good work and hey fish on !

Hey there, Greenboater...
Thanks for this. I have done that bend on bigger stuff for actual sockeye, but I haven't for the little guys. That's a great thought, and I'll try it on the next trip. I appreciate your input. Enjoy the water.
