Hit Pine just after dawn and what hit me were gale force winds when I exited the vehicle. I'm not much for fishing in the wind and today did nothing but reinforce my disdain for windy fishing. I lasted for about 45 minutes banging in to docks before I decided to head home. As I was heading back to the launch, I saw a little secluded cove that appeared to be a bit calmer, so I headed over.

1st cast went in to the the dock, second went in to the 5# even fishes mouth. As I was working the hook out of her mouth, I got blown in to a dock again and wouldn't you know, my rod slid right between 2 planks and snap. Thanks for the lifetime warranty G. Loomis, as I will be sending you yet another rod for replacement. 45 minutes for 1 big bass and 1 broken rod and I decided to go home.
