6/1/2015 10:07:00 PMYes you can defiantly keep them and eat them,it's just bass are wild fish and no one plants them into lakes so most people practice catch and release,I won't lie I've eaten bass before,they taste great,BUT if I'm looking for a meal I'll go catch perch and makes mini fillets and bread them up and fry them and you got yourself really good fish sticks:) or trout,there plenty of them out there and they taste excellent smoked with alder,I don't see a problem taking a few,just wouldn't recommend doing it everytime,hope that helps:)

6/1/2015 10:27:00 PMForgot to mention that fish that come from smaller lakes/pond will not taste good due to all the weeds and grass and the meat will taste like your eating mud.

6/1/2015 10:51:00 PMThats awesome! I've been there a few times, and havent caught much. How are you fishing those senkos? I've been drop shotin finesse worms and havent had a hit. Only caught a 9 incher on a rapella. Caught too many trout this year and want to start focusing on bass.

6/1/2015 11:02:00 PMMy favorite is a Texas rigged weightless senko,I had good luck on the green watermelon one,another fisherman came and I gave him a senko and second cast he caught a bass,I'm sure they'll go for any senko,I've just had my luck with the green and I cast it out and let it sink without touching the line and just stay on the bottom,and reel it in super slow,or you can jerk it every few feet and wait. I always like to pretend a bass is watching it so I do different movements to get its attention. but I'm not a pro,just had good luck today,I only started bass fishing last year,but fell in love with it!

6/2/2015 6:18:00 AMCatch and release all the way. That's the best way to keep a healthy bass fishery wherever you are, especially on smaller lakes. Also, the larger bass are not as good of eaters as the smaller ones, under 12'', so there isn't much point to keeping them. I agree with AlexanderS- perch, trout, or panfish make better meals.

6/2/2015 8:48:00 AMThanks guys for info I just hear people eating them and see post of people catching big ones and always realeaseing and everyone says they are yummy so I was just curious to why people always realease those monsters but u pretty much answered my questions thanks again good catch by the way

6/3/2015 7:50:00 PMNice going, was out there about 3 weeks ago float tube, had 2 hits, 1 10" LMB on a frog, and an unknown on a Krocodile, pretty shallow but funlake!!

6/3/2015 9:29:00 PMSo went tonight for a few hrs with doing as you said! Had 2 bites, one was a monster and snapped my line. Other than that, nothing. Guess you just got all the luck haha. Gonna try again in a tube friday

6/3/2015 10:16:00 PMGood job!,yea there's a lot of big ones out there,I like to use a 12-14 pound line,the big ones tend to break the line especially when they get in the lily pads,I might stop by tomorrow as well.
