Arrived at the lake at about 7:15 am. Was my first trip, since installing the doel fin on the 20 hp suzuki. What a performance increase! Bow down, almost immediatly, and all other performance was increased. speed. turning, and quike on plane. For the first 90 minutes, i lost the only two fish i hooked. I tried my different spinners. A few dodgers. And both flavors of corn-holio. I had an idea, that was worth a try. i did a quik set up, and in 30 minutes, had filled my limit, and lost several others. I will keep checking this new idea out, as it may have just been that the fish went on a regular bite. So, for now, i will not want to miss guide anyone. Will report at a later date, on what i did, that was so koke freindly. One thing I will say. It was not only my own lures i gave up on, for the day. It was everyone elses, as well. No big ones today. Largeset was a tad over 13. three were a foot. one, 11.5. I was marking lots of big marks at 40-50 ft. I had all my action at 32 ft. Not so good this year. Perhaps American will start producing more regular. I may make a trip to stevens. Hate going alone. But, i am lured by the ten fish limit. I hear skagit just opened for three sockeye a day. never done that there. tight lines. DOC.

It is not open for sockeye yet until the 16th also dont expect it to be red hot. I've participated both years it opened and it is definitely a slow fishery with a lot of waiting and patience. I did catch fish both years but had to be extremely patient for them. Although not red hot the fish are definitely worth the wait as they are some really good table fare. As for Stevens I might give it a try on Sunday as I live fairly close to it.I only have an inflatable boat and usually take my 3 yr old daughter. Pm me if interested.
