Got an early start to a busy trail with all intentions being FISH. Fished from about 9am to 2pm on a beautiful day. For such a busy trail it does not get super crowded once you move away from the outlet. We only landed 2 for the day, had several come off in the middle of some spectacular aerial displays. Saw lots of fish mostly smaller near shore. Used flys under a water bobber and several different lures like rooster tails and panther martins. Orange, red black and pink. 1 landed on a fly the other on orange rooster. All in all a great day with a hike and time by the water, bringing home fish was a bonus. Love the colors on them too.

Beautiful pics, I've lived in king county for nearly 40 years and never been there. You've inspired me to take a trip there and fish would be an added bonus.

Bassmaster, it is worth the hike alone for the view, I recomend taking a pair of water socks for wading, It looks shallow, but gets deep very quick. Fewer open spots if fly fishing is your thing, but doable if you know what you are doing(I dont have aclue about fly fishing).
