Lake Stevens continues to pump out great numbers of Kokanee! Worked over the Lake with another local guide on Saturday and the fishing is still pretty good!

As the water really start to warm up these fish are stacking on the thermocline and any fish below or above that are very finicky. We started the morning off fishing around 30' and dropped to 40' as the sun came up and the rec boaters hit the water. Green and Gold seemed to be the hot ticket with Macks Mini Kokanee Pros in green with small gold Smile Blades putting the most fish in the boat. Keeping the Herring and Krill Dipping Sauce fresh was also important. Most of our fish averaged 12-13" but we did get 10 over 14" including a 15" piggy. There was no real hot bite time and we just kinda scratched out fish all day long.


Now its time to give the Kokes a break and go pick on their sea-run cousins!
