Just got home from three days at Banks. Wednesday the 10th we caught 70-80 sub legal walleye, all were 12-15 inches also nailed a 4 1/2 pound small mouth and 8 perch in the 9-10 inch range. Thursday we caught about 40 sub legal walleye, one 16 1/2 inch walleye, six more perch and one 18 inch trout. Friday was windy so we didn't go out but a friend of ours hit it at daylight for a few hours and got a healthy 18 inch walleye, the day before he also hailed an 18 inch crappie and several throw back walleye and a nice mess of perch. July first they lower the size limit for walleye to 12 inches and raise the limit to 8 per day. In my opinion this is to little to late. There are so many smaller walleye in this lake not to much has a chance of not being walleye food. I talked with a game agent at the boat ramp that was telling me they release one million Kokanee into the lake each year, and he and his family target just Kokanee when they fish Banks but can't get any, this tells me that this lake has been so mismanaged that it will never be the great fishery that it once was.
