I started fishing about 6:30am, I think, in 53 foot of water. I went to the north side of the lake in front of the big white house. I got my first fish close to the bottom about 6:55am. Then it took until 7:25 for the next one. Then waited a bit and got 2 real close together. Then the 5th came at 8:30. It seemed to me like I had to wait longer for the last one than the first four. I used Wannafish A Lure Still-fishing spinner.
I started out toward the bottom and as the time passed they came up to between 20-30 feet. Some of the bites were very lite.
The day was going to get into the mid 80’s again, and the water temperature was just over 70 degrees. When I launched it seemed to me that the water level was lower. It also looks like there are minor changes in the kokanee’s appearance toward the spawn phase. These fish were all males. Are they going to spawn a month early? I will keep my eye on it.
We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.
