I woke up a year older this morning and it took me longer to get out of bed. I had wanted to get to the lake a half hour earlier than yesterday. Therefore I arrived at the same time.
I went over to the north side and tried to get in the same place but that didn’t happen. But I was in the vicinity in 50-51 foot of water. I got my first fish at 7:00am. Then nothing for an hour so I moved a little deeper, 55-56 and then watched the clock tick away since I had to leave around 9 in order to do everything I had to do before getting my driver’s license renewed.
I put out the last of my chum and decided that this really was the last cast. I had 2 rods out. One was sitting on bottom in the ready and the other in my hand. I can’t watch both tips. It is after 8:30am and I get my second fish finally. I get it in the bleeding bucket and get the other rod in hand to start fishing it. I get the third on but I lose it feet from boat. I could see it! Oh well, it really was the last cast. I have to go. But look at the fish finder! A school of them.
The weather was going to be cooler (high of 75) and this morning it was (50). Partly cloudy, water temperature was 72.
