It may be a strange time to start a guide trip at noon at Lake Chelan, but the kokanee are biting in the afternoon right next to the jet ski traffic. The 24 inch king was a bonus that we bagged early while trying a new technique. Look at the pictures closely and you will see a MoneyMaker Sent Bomb 18" above the dodger. The Dodger was a test done for Brad's made out of a Brad's Wobbler Extreme. The Brad's Wobbler Extreme hooked over 90% of the fish and the factory was on the line while we were hammering fish with it to find out how it was working. All I did was take the Salmon Hook off and bend the Wobbler slightly in the middle to get more action and use it as a Dodger. The King Salmon fell to a MoneyMaker Liminator at about 85 feet right in the Middle of the Yacht Club at 2 pm in the afternoon. The troll speed varied between 1.4 and 1.6mph and the set back from the downrigger ball was 45 to 50 feet. At 4 pm we headed down lake to my secret spot called Mac Bar and trolled for a couple of hours and picked up 9 fish 75 to 115 down on the riggers. The deep fish fell to Brad's PinK Mini Cut Plugs. We landed 1/2 our kokanee on that lure
The customers wanted to test new stuff so I brought out a bunch of new things to try. They went home extremely happy and that is all that matters on my boat at the end of the day.
