I decided to fish Chapman lake a couple days ago so I parked and hiked to the sw corner of the lake. It was very hot on the run in and I couldn't wait to get to the water and start fishing. I've been fishing Chapman lake regularly in the past year and also scout for deer at the same time. This time ended up fishing with an elk for about 10 min as it got a drink. The fish are everywhere at this lake, dink LM in schools and boiling kokanee. If one could get a boat in to Chapman you would do very well, I fished for 2.5 hours using Rapala floaters and Senko weed less plastics from only 50 ft of fishable shore line and caught 6LM and 3 SM. Lots of hits and small fish. Biggest was about 10" and didn't see anything bigger. I will be back next week with a boat and electric trolling motor, the big fish are somewhere I there.
