First trip out to Baker was a bummer. On the water before light, gear down and untouched for 4 hours. Had one on about 8am shake off, 11am had one on that broke the leader. That's what I get for using last years leaders. Both at 45 feet.

Fished 25-70 feet, with 6 rods and that was it. Souder is in the shop, so no radar, but the consensus was that 45 was the depth. Water is a bathtub! Friggin warm, like 65-68 degrees on the surface. Using raw shrimp, after a pass it came up cooked.

Both fish hooked off the point on the west side of noisy creek. Not very productive for others as well, only saw 6 or 7 fish netted all day. We hit both sides of the lake equally hard.

And it rained! Who would have thought that the one day we get to go camping in the middle of a heat wave would be a monsoon. Argh. Next time.

Fished the opener on the 10th. Didn't seem like they put 8000 fish in the lake given how hard we had to work. We managed to catch 6 on Friday. Didn't even try on Saturday given the thunderstorm. Everything in camp was wet and kids wanted to go home. My buddy went out to try his luck but said he didn't see or hear of anyone that caught anything. Fish had lockjaw. Maybe due to the pressure change from the storm?

Hey i think i seen you fishing and saw you lose that fish. I was in an inflatable. I managed to get one. I seen about 10 fish caught but back at camp heard of decent reports with most ppl with 2-3 fishvper boat and others getting skunked.

I was thinking the fishing would be on fire with the amount of fish they transfered but nope. We only landed 3 for 3 long days of fishing. I didnt even mark many. Maybe the all died? Water temp on my finder was 72-74 all weekend.
