Well, I was supposed to go camping this weekend. For unmentioned reasons that didn't happen. Heard it rained a bit in the mountains so probably not the worst thing.
Any how go to the lake about 7:30 only one guy on the launch fishing. Normally a lot more than that. Got the boat in and fishing by 8. Water temp was 76 degrees!! Spent more time playing with my new finder than actually fishing. Once I got it dialed in used my usual tactics. Dodger, wedding ring, and worm on the wire. Other was worm and a split shot long line Not much doing early. marked all fish at the bottom 25-35 in 40 feet. No marks in the shallower water. Ran circles at 35 feet. Missed a few. Figured I was gonna get a skunk considering water temps.
Once the sun broke through about 1030-11 the lake came alive. Limited in short order on the bare worm. All holdovers, no stockers, all real nice fish 17-18". Had one bleeder so kept that one, the rest lived to be caught another day. Done at 12. Rating 4 due to quality of fish. Could have been a more productive day. Tight lines
