Arrived at Panorama Point launch at 420-ish and was 2nd in line to launch, also got one of the last 2 parking spots in the lot. On the water by 445 and lines in at first light with the rest of the mob. A lot of boats and didn't seem to be a lot of fish. I saw some being caught and heard of some being lost, but for the number of fish in the lake I expected slightly better. For myself, I was 0/3. Lost one right at the boat trying to net it, I was flying solo so it was a bit tough to manage navigating between other boats, fighting the fish, and netting. He pulled some kind of spiderman rolling backflip and out came the squid. Oh well, a learning lesson I suppose.

The three I hooked all came later in the morning, 9:00 to 10:30 and on the east side of the lake, pretty far north. One on two bare pink hooks with a couple of beads behind a hammered chrome "0" dodger, the other two on double red hooks with a hootchie behind same dodger set up. Leaders were all between 10 and 15 inches. I didn't use any shrimp as I left it in the fridge...doh! I did use some krill smelly jelly. Trolled between .9 and 1.5 mph, varied it up constantly. Depths of hookups between 35 and 55 feet. Water is super warm so thinking (and hearing) that deeper, earlier, is better.

Anyhow, still a nice day on the luck and fun to be out. Will try again a few times over the next couple of weeks and hope for landing one!
