Launched at 0500. Limited out by 0900. 4 Kokanee and 1 RBT. All caught 29ft on the wire at 1.2mph. Used: KoneZone moonjelly 4" flasher with Radical Glow pink micro hoochie and a Mack's DD Dodger with moonjelly tape and a RMT pink plankton hoochie. Shoe peg corn flavored with krill and anise.

Military had swimmers in the water this morning. Pretty cool watching them swim around Silcox. To the idiot that went 40 mph less than 30 yards off my bow, I videoed you and have your faces and hull number. You had an entire lake but needed to get that close to me? I have had it with this lake. Won't be back until it is raining or cold.

Unfortunately, the rules are no wake within 100 ft. at 30 yards he was pushing it.

We have had wake boarders out at 0530 numerous times this year on American. They are coming from the military side. The guy yesterday, if he would have stayed on his current course he would have never even came near me. Instead he felt the need to be a douchebag and get that close to me. We were in the middle of the lake with no other boats around us for several hundred feet. He wasn't trying to avoid a collision, he just wanted to be an idiot. This incident occurred at 0730 ish.

I know I sound grumpy but when I have my offspring aboard I don't take lightly to risky behavior by other people on the water.

Sheepdog.

Way to go. Are those kokes as dark as they look or perhaps just a dark picture? It would be really early for American Lake kokes to look that dark. Of course it is a weird year.

Thanks! The picture was taken in the kitchen with the lights off and no flash. They've already been scaled too.

the kokes look scaled. not dark. lol. i was eating them mid october, last year. as far as the rude boaters, why not give the lakewood police a call. maybe several of us? they do seem to like to give fisherman petty tickets for petty things. hopefully, get more of a respnse out of them, on imminant danger, than we do say, from our commander and chief. some calls may do it. tell them its out of hand. nice fish. what were the lenths?

Video evidence, hull number, makes it easy. A phone call, file a report with documentation to back it up. I'd do it. Have had this happen to me on Roosevelt many times, even in the off season with anglers who feel they need to run between me and 100' of the shore while I'm trolling. Had a bad one last year and decided never again. From now on I'm taking pictures/video and reporting to Lincoln County Sheriff Marine Patrol.

Some good eats laying on the board. :-)

I should have measured them but didn't. The board is 10" across so they are around the 12" range. I kept the smaller guys because they were hooked to good. I started using #2 sickle hooks this year and now won't use anything else. I've only lost 1 Koke out of say 20 or so.

I am aware of LPD giving tickets for the smallest of infractions to fisherman yet LPD disappears midmorning when the ski boats start launching. To be fair, I only fish American on weekdays at first light. I do not know their enforcement practices on the weekend. I am certain since the guy didn't cause damage to my boat, LPD could care less about a safety violation committed by a boat that paid their ridiculous $15 lauinch fee. I am both calling and emailing LPD about these idiots.
