Pinkpole (Kim) and I were going to slay the kokanee at Clear Lake this morning by trolling. But when the trolling motor doesn’t start it is hard to catch anything but the sunshine. We put on some bait and just drift fished for an hour trying to start the kicker. It seemed that this is a recurring event when she is on board. After an hour of trying to start it she offered to go overboard and I tried to start it and wonders of wonders it did. She really didn’t go overboard. It was 8am.

I tried the same things I had Sunday but to no avail. I tried to find the schools of fish like on Sunday but only found a few small schools.
I caught a small kokanee on a 50/50 Dick Nite Dodger and a Wannafish A Lure Gilded Lily. Unfortunately Kim didn’t get a bite.
It was bright and sunny going to be warm in the high 80-90’s this week. The water temp was 73.6.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Glad it finally started for you. One fish is better then none. What happen to still fishing, you were doing so well with that?

I ran out of blood meal and it is so hot the fish aren't acting like they have.
