The Hennen's and the Call families came out with us yesterday morning. Once again, the Mackinaw bit early in the morning on the Bar. Finishing along the face of Manson Bay keeps the action going. On the downriggers fish Needlefish squiddy's in green glow with a big gold or purple Smile Blade in front as an attractor. Bait the tandem hook rig with a piece of Northern Pikeminnow. On the outrigger rods fish U20 or T4 Purple Glow Flatfish. Smear everything with a bit of Pautzke's Krill Juice thickened with a bit of petroleum jelly to add some scent. Stay within 3 to 5 feet of the bottom at a speed of 1.2 mph. Late summer fishing here is fantastic!
