Headed out to the lake and got started about 10:30am. No luck between the boat launch and the water tester so headed across the lake to the west side. Water temperature was 70 degrees so figured the fish would be deep but found most of our fish at 30-35 feet down. Nothing big but caught and released 10 cutthroat and 1 small sockeye. Pulled out about 4pm. Largest was about 14 inches. Passed the King County sheriff on the way in and he turned after us. No tabs for this year. He checked life jackets, fire extinguisher, etc and was nice enough to let us off with a warning. Also said you can only have one tag showing on your boat. On the way home got hit by a car. Dented a fender and bent a pole used to guide the boat on the trailer. Kid didn't see the boat. Policeman said, "How could you miss a gigantic boat like that?" We have a 26 footer that looks a bit overdone on Lake Sammamish. Kid wanted to pull in to our lane and waited for us to pass but did not know there was a boat following us. Guess you have to look. Good day fishing, adventure getting home. Well, have to go and get boat tabs. Don't forget that Jesus hung out with a lot of fishermen.
