This report is for both weekends of September!

The Walleye fishing at Banks Lake continues to be absolutely amazing! It is going to continue to be red hot well into this fall. We have been catching limits of fat, aggressive 15" to 18" Walleye with a few 19" to 24" almost every trip using a few different techniques. The Walleye, Perch, and Smallmouth are feeding on 1" to 4" Perch right now along weedlines, so those are the best places to find and target fish.

We have been trolling bottom bouncers with Mack's Lure Slowdeath Rigs and Double Whammy's in the UV Glo Burst, Gold, Orange, and Chartreuse Smile Blade colors at 0.9 to 1.2 mph in 15 to 25 feet of water. Another way we have been catching them is trolling 3.5 Maplips, Berkley Flicker Shads, and Rapala Shad Raps in Crawdad and Perch colors in 15 to 25 feet of water at 1.5 to 2.0 mph. It seems if there is a chop on the water and/or clouds they want cranks and if it is flat water and sunny they want bottom bouncers and worms.
