What a rotten day Weather wise. I promised my son who couldn't go with me on Saturday to the Derby that we could go Sunday. I didnt want to wash the boat again so I suggested Cavanaugh. His wife said we were Crazy, we were going to get soaked, the wind was going to be blowing crazy and we wouldn't catch anything. She was right 3 out 4.
The wind was crazy. Poor Minn Kota was trying so hard to keep us going the right way. It was pouring, Only crazy people out on the lake was us. We limited out in two hours. Trolling at 1.3 at 22 feet on the wire.
The winning set up was a What a lure from Toni behind Macks flasher string in silver with Pink head. They are all ready to start spawning attempts. Jaws are getting the hook but meat is solid pink. All were between 12 and 14 inches.
