Visited Meridian twice this week with 9/23 being the latest. On the water at 4:00 both trips and fished until 7:00.
On first visit used old school leaded line to three colors depth with flashers and a green wedding ring with corn.
Landed two, lost 4. Was a windy day so had to fight to keep from running over the line.

Day two, beautiful afternoon to evening. Flyfisher was on the water already when I arrived. This trip we decided on two downriggers on account of having three kids under 8 and another adult in the boat with me.
Right off the launch headed in front of the swim area and had both poles with FIsh ON! We were not prepared, kids underfoot and squeeling, too much, we lost them both. Sigh....
Rigged up again, went up the south side outside the red bouys near swim area, caught one on down rigger, lost one on long line pole out the back.

Turned around, repeat sticking to this corner of the lake. Saw DJ arrive, in the water, fish in the boat, gone.
We repeat this process until 7:00 landing three, losing four.
Visited with Flyfisher for a while on the water, Thanks for the gift Flyfisher!

The kids had a blast by the way, all three of them caught their first fish ever over the last two days. A big kokes to with that memory is pretty cool.

A couple of the fish were beginning to show signs of the spawn, however these fish are as big as there going to get.
