Tough day fishing on Riffe Lake. Launched at the ramp just north of Taidenpaum. Got on the water about 8:00am and motored out a ways and started trolling. We could see lots of fish, anywhere from 20 ft to about 100ft, but could get nothing to bite. We fished shallow to deep, in shallow water to water about 120ft deep. We tried wedding rings and hoochies, but with almost no luck. Got a single rainbow at about 10:00, and finally got a silver at about 3:00pm. Certainly a lot different than during the summer. Water temperature was 60F on Saturday. Water was calm.
Lake is really low. The water is so low, the dock at the ramp is out of the water.
I have limited experience fishing this lake in the fall. Anyone want to share some ideas, or success stories, on how to be successful fishing for silvers in the fall on this lake?
Thanks for any information and help.
