I just got my great grandfathers Montague split bamboo fly rod back from gregs custom rods in lake stevens. he put new guides and ferrules on it and it looks amazing I then took it to pacific fly fishers in mill creek to figure out what reel and line would be best and the guys there are great! anyway I got to tye right at day break eager to catch a fish on my great grandfathers rod. plenty of fish were jumping but none were taking my fly. I tried about 8-12 different dry flies with no luck. another fly fisher there looked to have about the same luck.. at about 9 or so they quit jumping and I called it a day.. plenty of people fishing worms off the shore were having luck though

Were you using a floating fly or sinking? I've actually had some luck there before with a sinking pistol pete's fly.
