Well we took advantage of the afternoon weather after the nasty wind storm we had the other day and went to try our luck for a couple hours. We got on the water at noon and went to a spot we normally catch fish near perch point on the Potholes. We started using blade baits and didn’t have much luck for the first hour, so I switched to a yellow jig with a metal propeller blade (not sure what it is called) with a half of worm and that was the ticket.

We were in about 22’ of water working a hump and ended up catching 4 smalleyes and two keepers one 18” and the other one was 20”. We released all the fish but the two pictured. We plan on going back out next Friday after Thanksgiving to see if we can jig up some more.

Where is perch point? Can not find it on the map. Have fished all over potholes for walleyes, which is a fantastic fishery, but have always had the best luck at the North end West of Crab Creek. Would expect that perch point is aptly named which is why I asked because am always looking for a better place to catch them. Moses has been good but not this year. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe Perch Point is at the South end of Medicare Beach, East of that point is where it starts to narrow towards the boat launch and Lind Coulee

Way to go, WBD! I haven't been out there since September, but March and April trips are in the works. Good luck next week!

Chumstick2 is correct, at least that area is what I have always known it to be as Perch Point, not sure if it is officially called that though or if is just called Medicare Beach when it is that far down towards the boat launch Lind Coulee area.
