Had I not been hooked up with an 18 incher I might have gotten blown away! Nasty weather aside the lake has been fishing in its typical early spring fashion all week, meaning steady action with quality fish if you can present a pattern they haven't seen fifty times already. I kinda feel a little sympathy for those big fish trying to spawn at the launch when they get caught several times a week. I landed a fish today that had the exact same mouth anomaly as one I caught on Wednesday. I guess its time to break the boat out. Anyway, the real reason for this post is to let everybody know that the lake seems to finally be starting to turn over as the water began to get murky this afternoon.
PS. I know this can be redundant but keep in mind that this lake is selective gear and catch and release this time of year (met some people that were ignorant of these regulations today).
