The promise of nice weather for today got me getting my gear ready last night to try some early season kokanee fishing on lake Stevens.
The wife and I got out at about 9:30am to hit lake Stevens for the first time. The lake was pretty much glass calm when we got there. We started out in the cove longlining. After an hour we had not got anything and moved out to deeper water where everyone else was. There was nothing biting out there and after trolling for three hours, changing lures throwing everything in bag, we started to look for warmer water. Which was not happening the entire lake sat at about 46.5 degrees. So my guess its just to cold still.
Anyone else have any luck?
