4/2/2016 2:33:00 PMI have fished American lake many times this year and have not caught one fish. In fact I have not caught one fish yet this year.....Most of the time when I don't catch any fish I don't do a report for the most part but not always the case. This lake was bad last year, time will tell for this year. I will say this there is many more boats on the water then reports people are getting tight lipped or just not willing to report no catch reports.
Even with all the trout WDFW put in the lake they are jumping on our hooks like years past, it used to be you had a line in the water they were there. Interested in what others have to say.....

4/2/2016 9:23:00 PMThe other day I was looking through my "photos" folder and found a pic from March 26, 2015 - me and the boat and a sunny day, and oh, by the way a 14" rainbow being released.
I've been out 3 or 4 times this year and been skunked on American Lake for 2016. Now I haven't put a lot of effort in but really, somethings different out there.

4/2/2016 11:07:00 PMI have got a limit every time this year. The fish are really shallow like 3 feet deep shallow. Been using gulp maggots white with a wedding ring behind a dd flasher. My daughter and son each caught 5 last week, all around 13 inches and one 17 inch trout. All fish caught after 530pm. oh yea and the secret sauce "sand shrimp or shrimp scent in UV". Good luck, the lake is slim full of trout, troll about 1.7 to 1.83 mph. I haven't posted much this year been busy.

4/4/2016 2:58:00 PMFished American Saturday and Sunday for smallies. There where boats, having a blast, picking up rainbows in the north-end. They where trolling the typical setups baited with maggots and worms.
