Alder Lake 4-5-16
Today was the shakedown cruise for Kim (pink pole) and me. She brought her grandson Terrence along. I have had troubles replacing the keel guard, fixing the kicker motor, and with the big motor power trim.

All was supposed to be in working order. So we loaded everything up after I got off work. Made it to the lake and on the water by 4:30pm.

Everything worked and I remembered to put in the plug. Which is one of my worst fears.
The lake was a little below full pool. No one on the lake but us. Fish were jumping but not onto our lines. Terrence longlined his rod while Kim and I used the downriggers. He was the only one who got bites on a gold (or brass) spoon with kicker blades at the hooks.
The water temperature was between 52-53 and it was only partly cloudy with a slight breeze on the lake. We left about 6pm.
The only thing that went wrong, except no fish, was the alarm for the low oil senor in the big motor went off continuously and almost made me deaf. It is known to go off even when the oil thing works.

While the boat wasn't bathed in fish blood it was bathed in chocolate milk, chocolate donuts, and Doritos!
