Arrived at the lake at 5:30 ,launched my toon and have my first fish by 6:05 a nice little bow, kept trolling around in front of the dock and found a school of kokanee. went 4 for 8 and also released a few recent planted bows so they can grow a bit bigger. was off the lake by 8 am . I was using a clown dodger with a wedding ring tipped with white shoe peg corn , no weight and 45 feet behind boat , trolling at the # 1 speed. I put a bobber stop on my line at 45 feet so I can repeat what I do easyer . The sun rise was beautiful with lots of color on the mountain , the lake was calm and must have had a good hatch as a lot of jumping fish most of which looked like bows . Was great day to fish or just be outside , Water temp was 55 to 56 while I was there

Hey SeattleSteeler, I think those are all rainbows. I was there when you left and didn't get any kokes to bite. Water is still pretty cold. Anyways thanks for the report.

If you are fishing with bait, you must keep.all fish caught.

Actually, if you are fishing with bait you must count all fish landed against your limit. You do not necessarily have to keep those fish but when you reach the catch limit you must stop fishing regardless of how many fish you have retained. From page 16 of 2015-2016 WDFW Fish Regs: Where use of bait is prohibited, or where lures or flies are used voluntarily, Game Fish may be caught and released until the daily
limit is retained. If any fish has swallowed the hook or is hooked in the gill, eye, or tongue, it should be kept if legal to do so.

Also from page 17 'Species Rules' for Trout: When fishing with bait, all TROUT (except STEELHEAD) equal to or greater than the minimum size are counted as part of the daily limit whether kept or released.
