It's been 3 years since I've fished this pretty lake. Carl, a retired Canadian that I met here 3 years ago, had just pulled up to where we were going to camp, so we had a good reunion. He's been fishing Sidley all summer and catches a 2 fish limit every time he fishes. We shore fished and caught our limits of bows using mallow and nightcrawler. The fish weren't big, averaging a fat 13 inches. Carl uses powerbait and he was doing much better than I. Most of the people I saw fishing were retired and catching fish without much problem. One guy down the shore picked up one that was 17 inches. The weather was sunny and cold at night. It was below freezing the first night. Full moon was out and it's a beautiful place to relax and catch a few fish.
