Was a pretty warm day and the osprey was out scouting the lake. I tried a small Mepps at the lower end of the lake where the water exits. There was not a sign of fish in the area, though the algae looked to be unusually thick and the lake was very low. I only spent about 30 minutes working this area and the exit channel.
Traveled to the public boat launch and fished the area between there and the ball field. I located the fish, and ended up fighting them off the hook! I used a bottom weight with a 3' leader and hook holding green Powerbait. I limited out inside of 30 minutes. No real size to them and no sign of triploids.
