Decided to try srevens this morning as i have heard the kokanee bite is on. I arrive at the lake around 515, inflated my raft, in the water and fishing by 545. Got my first fish within fifteen minutes of trolling using a dicknite dodger with purple ace hi jr hoochie. Thought in my head that it was going to be a good. I did not get another hit for about 45minutes when i decided to to check my gear and thats when i found the problem. I was using a mack doudle d dodger with adjustments to make it go left or right. I had forgotten to switch it back to normal after my last outing which got my lines all tangled up. Took me a good 15 minutes to get everything situated again and by now it was alread 715. After that was over with i got back to fishing but i could not seem to keep the fish on the hooks as they kept popping off before i could get a chance to net. Ended the day with 1/7 and lesson learned. Always check your doudle d dodgers to ensure they wont make a tangled mess of your gear. The one fish of the day was a 16 inch kokanee. Really hefty fish compared to last year
