Went out for first time on Silver Lake looking for Bass using Rubber Worms, Night Crawlers and a couple of lures but had no luck finding them. Caught a few small throw back perch and a large carp that I let go, but otherwise no Bass. Got a hell of a surprise when I hooked two huge tiger muskies. The first one threw my lure and the second broke my line (only using 12 Lb test), but had one go past the boat chasing a lure that was well over 50 inches! Gonna go back next week with heavier gear and try to land one. Anyone knows where the Bass are, please let me know. Thanks and good luck!

Try the rocks using a bullet weight and a purple plastic worm..work the bottom slowly and you'll get em!

Thanks, will try that this weekend. Heard there were big bass, but thought maybe the water is still to cold.

You can catch them in 56 to 60 degree water temps. Just work the worm, jig, dropshot slow, then slower. Also work a crankbait or spinnerbait slow and close to the bottom. Some people are catching Bass on chatterbaits too. Fish 5 to 10 foot depths. Rocks, docks, gravel, outside weed lines, inside weed lines, along pads, inside and outside, dropshot at and just off the dropoffs, and outside weed lines and pad lines Just takes time to find the ones that want to bite in the cool temps, but they'll bite. I've been catching them shallow, and inside the pads, and under/beside the docks.
