I headed over to this lake to toss some lures on my lunch break. There was an old timer sitting in a lawn chair smoking a cigar on the boat launch. He had a small stocker on his string and was fishing white power eggs about 3 feet off the bottom. He said he caught the first one within 15 minutes but hadn't had a bite in the last 15 minutes. I stood and talked with him for about 30 minutes in which time he had 3 or 4 bites but no luck hooking them. He packed up to leave so I pulled out my rod and a gold Kastmaster.

On my second cast, I hooked a fish that jumped and then immediately spit the hook. I continued casting and within 15 minutes pulled in a 10" rainbow. That was good enough for me. I headed back to work. Peaceful day catching a fish for my lunch break is fine by me.
