Took my supervisor fishing this morning. He had been fishing twice in his life and had never caught a fish. Lines in about 8am. Fishing was little slow but steady. Most of the hits were 17-25' depth. Marked some fish deeper but could get them to hit. Had corn in four scents. Corn brined in Pautzke's pink krill fireball got most the hits. Pink hoochies with spinners seemed to be best lure. 10-12" leaders with bright colorful Dodgers. My new fisherman was able to land 4 out of 6. Was told by another fisherman that fishing was really good until the sun came up. At the end we trolled toward the ramp where it got shallow. Pulled in the gear and one had hooked a fresh water clam. I didn't even know there were fresh water clams let alone in Lake Stevens!
